The bristles get down to the scalp, brushing through all of my hair, it is not thick but I have a lot of hair. I am happy with this purchase, it is worth the $20

The only downside I noticed immediately was that there is no “give” to the brush and it’s a bit rigid when brushing.     I have only been using the large brush as I cannot figure out best how to use the small one. In the reviews some mentioned it smelt bad, but not mine. The bristles are harder than I’m used to, so I am slowly learning how to brush only my hair and not scratch my scalp. Very happy O bought ii.

I use the smaller brush to brush my cat, not to get the hair out, but I put a bit of caster oil on it to brush it through my cats coat, it helps to keep the coat shiny.
